Victims of Crime | The Victims Voice

Victims of crime and the innocent affected by others actions can leave devastating effects and lifelong scares on many of them. Often as ex-cons or ex-offenders we can become so caught up in our own circumstances that we often forget or neglect to understand the harm we have caused. Listening to victims stories and how crime has affected them and how crime has changed their lives forever, may be more helpful in having a lasting change in an ex-cons life. Understanding ones own crime and why they did what they did, often leaves us with more compassion towards the victims of crime.

Here is a call to all victims of crime, who have dealt with their victimization and have become healthy survivors. We need you to tell your story so that others may realize the harm that has been done. This will help all of us to change and prevent more victims. My own experience with victims of crime has taught me how important their voice is for themselves, for offenders and for the community at large.
